Since we cannot offer homes to every homeless person in our area, we have set tentative guidelines for potential residents to qualify for our program.
We have devised an anagram for qualifications:
D.R.A.M.A. S.R.O. (may be pronounced "drama" and "sorrow") D. stands for DISASTERS such as fires or floods.'
R. stands for RECUPERATION from accidents or illnesses.
A. stands for ABUSE, either mental or physical.
M. stands for MILITARY veterans returning to their homeland with no home or immediate family.
A. stands for AREA problems such as unsafe neighborhoods, legally considered as unlivable, or property being sold and renters must vacate.
S. stands for SEPARATION from the main income provider due to death, entering a nursing home, or other location and/or dire need for renter to move from the main income provider for justified reasons.
R. stands for RISK of something that threatens the safety of the home and/or renters.
O. stands for OTHER. There may be special circumstances that we can not foresee that we believe qualifies a person for our program.
